He joined the group in the fall of 2018 under the mentorship of Corinne Gibb. They are working to synthesize novel cavitands functionalized with arginine and lysine amino acid residues in order to study the reverse Hofmeister effect and its possible application to biological systems. After graduation, Austin will continue to work as a member of the group as he pursues his masters.
